An Everlasting GOD!
A God that loves, assures, sustains and brings joy when He calls.
I LOVE my job. :) I LOVE GOD!
The yearly Metamorphosis camp for our Christian youths and campus students finally came to an end last night! I had a great time serving as the programme coordinator during that day camp and it was fabulous!!!

(Photo is taken during a break at META, my co-team person worked with me to make this fire-like looking stands for the last final night themed: Survivor META... are they pretty???)
I had to do planning, coordinating and leading with many people under me - Emcees, sound, lighting and powerpoint I/Cs, students, speaker and worship team... to add on, I also had to make sure that the programme was running up and smoothly during the camp. To simplify it, together with my team of 2, I had to carry a walkie talkie 24-7 during the camp, running around to serve and make sure that the conferees can have a good time meeting God. Even though there were difficult times, learning to lead as a young staff, making quick difficult decisions, tying loose ends to the different programmes, I HAD A GREAT TIME. I felt so accomplished, so refreshed, and so joyful!!!
I had opportunity to serve and plan together with Johnson too! He was also the META programme coordinator from 26-27 dec morning, and I was the META programme coordinator from 27 evening - 28 evening.
MANY STUDENTS came, MANY were ministered, MANY had an opportunity to receive Christ and I was there to see it. :) God brought many non christians there too!!! about 10 received Christ that conference!!! PRAISE him..
MANY students had a chance to be prayed for, to forgive those that hurt them and to break the LIES of the evil one haunting them...
MANY students too had a chance to step out, to commit, to obey the call that God has given them to serve God full time!!! And MANY did!!! The scene was touching... God is so real, not just to me, but to these students whom He has given us as sheep...
I was sooo encouraged when I saw my students from SMU and SIM bringing new friends, and even those whom has left the commitments serving in the Christian ministry in their campus back to the camp!!! Zhiying, I am so glad you came! :) But sadly, I was so busy running the programme that I could not be there for them... But God was there, I am so sure, for them. :)
After the whole conference, I kinda felt relieve that it ran smoothly, I also felt sad that it is over so soon. :p I really must praise God for His grace to me, I was young and ignorant of how to plan, to lead. But God in His grace extended to me, showed me how to do it, assured me and also gave me patience, love and strength.
Even in the midst of busyness, God also granted me sometime to listen to the main speaker, Dave Park speak during the conference.. Just as Dave spoke to the conferees, he turned from the stage and set his eyes to mine and said as if he knew God was speaking to me, "God allowed some 'bad' things to happen in our lives, not because He wants us to suffer.. But because He wants us to be moulded to become more like the image of Christ." Just then, images of my family, Johnson's family and my disappointment in needing to raise money for my daily living and my upcoming wedding came up in my mind...
I had been doubting the calling God gave me and wondered if it will be different if I was in a different family, if I have chosen to work in another job which earns a stable income... I was doubting if I can even raise the S$6,000 for the wedding...
But God assured.
He reminded me that He has called me to serve Him full time, and that He has too set some of His children into the market place to work, to earn and to come in to provide too for us. He has send some people into the market place not just for Him, but also for the body of Christ whom He has called. Because we are one body.
1Corinthians 12:12-26
12The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. 13For we were all baptized by[c] one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.
14Now the body is not made up of one part but of many. 15If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. 16And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. 17If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? 18But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. 19If they were all one part, where would the body be? 20As it is, there are many parts, but one body.
21The eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you!" And the head cannot say to the feet, "I don't need you!" 22On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, 24while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it, 25so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. 26If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.
We serve an everlasting God!
A God that loves, assures, sustains and brings joy when He calls!
