Over the weekend
Many things have happened over the weekend, mostly good stuffs! :) But adds a little of melancholic emotions...
It's been a really busy week after shifting over to Wide Angle, We had a long 2-days shoot till 1am on the final night for the up and coming short film called "Take a Look at Me." It talks about man who wears masks in our society today, fearing to reveal our true identity and accepting who we really are as God's creation. :) I was tasked as the Assistant producer and though it's job does not involve the shooting, it involved alot of planning, admin and taking care of the staffs and actors involved! I had fun serving the team over the past 2 days, running about to buy breakfast, lunch and dinner for everyone, also icecream and frozen water melon to beat the HOT weather... :p

My best friend got married over the weekend.
Through this 1.5 years of preparation of her wedding and her 4 years of relationship, its really such joy to be aside her when she got married. Her man is really a catch, one who loves God, and places her 1st before himself and after God in His heart. Their relationship and marriage is indeed one that truly shows the love of Christ, and I am so happy for her.
This is the 1st time one of my best friend got married... I recalled many times in my growing up years I asked God for best friends around me, friends whom will honor you and love u the way you are, girlfriends who will stand beside you. It is only when I entered University and came to this church that I found these good friends. And Andrea is one of them...
The moment I saw her in her house that Sat morning all dressed and ready to be married, I felt joy and happiness for her, and a little melancholic... I didn't know what was causing this, till a friend pointed out to me that perhaps I was low as I kind of lost a "single" girlfriend... Yes, I know I am getting married too... But somehow seeing them get married makes me feel the reality of life... that she now has a new life, where family comes 1st, and she probably won't be able to meet us as regular as she did before...
And as I pondered on the above, I realized soon, I will be married too... and the thought of leaving my comfort zone and going into a new unfamiliar life and family hits me too... Do you know what I mean? :p It's hard to put down in words... but I am still happy for her... I am excited too, what God has prepared for both of them and I am just so assured that she will be happy. :) Shawn is such a great man, and one who compliments her so much. :)
Praying for you Andrea! Have a happy and romantic honeymoon!!! :)
I realized I didn't have a photo with her on my camera, will get it from my friend and upload photos soon! :p
A good friend of mine from cell got baptized last Sunday! It is another joyous occasion for both of us.. :) She is one committed believer who perseveres to honor God and her family. I recalled her mom refusing to let her get baptized 4 years ago... and her perseverance to wait for her mom to say yes, proved God's faithfulness. Her mom came for her baptism last Sunday and really, I saw joy in her teary eyes, thanking God for all to be possible.
I shared with Wendy that it is such a joy to see her getting baptized, cause its like she has fulfilled a dream that I hoped to see in my family too... :) Thank you wendy! For showing me what patience, love and perseverance mean...
